What are you passionate about? Health through eating well and having a relationship with where your food comes from

What did you study in school? I have a BFA in Art Education, then studied Nutrition

Are you utilizing this subject now? The art education is somewhat used. I have local art students install sculptures around the farm. I still appreciate art and enjoy doing art projects with my kids.

What is your favorite local restaurant? 15 Walnut and Duckworth's Bistrot

Who is your favorite local resident? My husband, Andrew. He is very inspiring to me. He is so passionate about his work, knowledgable, a great leader to his staff, a wonderful, involved father and he happens to be very good looking, too!

What obstacle have you over come? When I was 26, I discovered I have Celiac Disease, an autoimmune disease where the body reacts to gluten (the protein in wheat) which has led me in the career direction I am happily in now.

What have you done in your life that makes you proud? I have two healthy children and a brilliant husband. We really both have found a "calling" in life and are truly passionate about our jobs. A life with passion and good health is the ultimate way to live.

How come you chose Hamilton-Wenham? We came to Green Meadows Farm to run the business here. We love Hamilton!

What is your favorite place in Hamilton-Wenham? Green Meadows Farm (second: Crane Beach)

What is your favorite shop? Green Meadows Farmstand

What is an a fact about you that most don’t know? I was a competitive horseback rider (hunter/jumper) growing up in Southampton, N.Y. My life revolved around horses until I got a car.

Where would someone see you around town? Supporting all of the local businesses.

Which local services and programs do you support? We're big fans of the Library and Community House.

What change would you like to see in Hamilton-Wenham? I would love to see even more people growing their own food, rasing backyard chickens, and cooking nutrient dense foods in their home.

Where are you going next? In March, I'm headed to the Paleofx conference in Austin, Texas where I will be speaking about food policy, whole foods nutrition, and how to motivate people to change their eating behavoir. I'm pretty excited about being involved in this expanding food movement and incorporating sustainablility issues and policy with nutrition.
