Five Things to Know on Jan. 8: Gallon of Gas for $3.39

Today is Tuesday, Jan. 8. Here are five things you need to know in Hamilton and Wenham:

1. Cold Start: Tuesday morning is expected to be the coldest morning of the week, followed by a sunny day with temperatures getting into the 40s.

2. Gas: The least expensive gallon of regular gas in Hamilton and Wenham on Monday was $3.39 at G & M Motors. A gallon was selling for $3.47 at Oliver Gulf and Hamilton Convenience and $3.59 at Fallon’s Auto.

3. Principal: The process to select a new, permanent principal at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School continues this week, with interview expected to begin with the 10 semi-finalists.

4. Mystery: Hamilton-Wenham Library’s Mystery Mayhem Reading Group meets on Tuesday morning as a drop-in group where you can get some ides of some great mystery novels and offer suggestions of your own. Refreshments are served and it runs from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

5. Richdale: The Wenham Board of Selectmen meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Wenham Town Hall, when the board is planned to continue its discussion about an application for a package store license for the Richdale store on Topsfield Road.
