Elisabeth Lister Makes Fall 2012 Dean's List at SUNY New Paltz

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - Elisabeth Lister, a Wenham resident, was named to the Dean's List at the State University of New York at New Paltz for the Fall 2012 semester.

Lister's major is Music.

Dean's List designation is reserved for students who earn at least a 3.3 grade point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

Local Students Named to Deans' List for Fall 2012 at Merrimack College

NORTH ANDOVER - Local residents were recently named to the Fall 2012 Deans' List at Merrimack College in North Andover. To be named to the Deans' List, a student must achieve a 3.25 grade point average or higher, based on a 4.0 grading system.

Kassandra Martin, of Hamilton, is a senior in the School of Liberal Arts.

Timothy O'Leary, of Wenham, is a sophomore in the School of Liberal Arts.

Anneke Johnson Named to Cornell College Dean's List

MOUNT VERNON, IOWA - Anneke Johnson of Hamilton, a student at Cornell College, has been named to the Dean's list, earning Highest Honors.

Cornell named 254 students to the Dean's List for the fall semester.

A grade point average of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale is required for this designation. "Highest honors" are granted to students with 4.0 averages; "high honors" are awarded to students with 3.8 to 3.99 averages; and "honors" include grade point averages of 3.6 to 3.79.

Local residents named to Dean's List at Grove City College

GROVE CITY, Penn. - The following area residents were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester at Grove City College.

Liesel Defeo, a junior English major has been named to the Dean's List with Distinction. Liesel is a 2009 high school graduate who was homeschooled and is the daughter of Mary and Richard DeFeo from Hamilton.

Stephen Tam, a freshman Computer Information Systems major has been named to the Dean's List with Distinction. Stephen is a 2012 graduate of Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School and is the son of Lorey and David Tam from Hamilton.

Linnea Granz, a sophomore English major has been named to the Dean's List with Distinction. Linnea is a 2011 high school graduate who was homeschooled and is the daughter of Beverly and David Granz from Wenham.

Lydia Staats, a sophomore Middle Level Math/English major has been named to the Dean's List with Distinction. Lydia is a 2011 high school graduate who was homeschooled and is the daughter of Laura and Stephen Staats from Wenham.

Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.6 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.00.

Claire Stehfest, of Hamilton, Earns Second Academic Honors from Clark University

WORCESTER - Claire S. Stehfest of Hamilton has been named to second honors on the Clark University Dean's List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2012 semester.

To be eligible for second honors, students must have a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.79, of a maximum of 4.3.

Elizabeth Pruett Named to Dean's List at Emory College

ATLANTA, Ga. - Elizabeth Pruett of Hamilton was named to the Dean's List of Emory College, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of , for the 2012 fall semester.

Students must be in the top 20 percent of Emory College or have approximately a 3.85 grade point average or higher to be named to the Dean's List.
