Wenham Seeks School Committee Member

The Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee and the Wenham Board of Selectmen are seeking to appoint a Wenham resident to fill a recently vacated position on the School Committee.

The selected volunteer will fill this open position until the next general election, which will be held in early May 2012.

The selected candidate is encouraged to be willing to run for election to the remaining two years of the open position.

The School Committee is responsible for establishing educational goals and policies for the schools in the district consistent with the requirements of law and statewide goals and standards by state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, reviews and approves budgets for public education in the district and selects and evaluates the superintendent.

Interested residents should submit a resume and a letter of intent by noon on Monday, Sept. 12 to: Central Administration Office, 5 School St., Wenham, MA 01984, Attn: Peter Gray, Superintendent, or by email to Peter Gray at grayp@hwschools.net.
