Hamilton Emergency Shelter Team Volunteers Needed
The Hamilton Board of Health in collaboration with the Fire and Police Department have been developing plans to provide emergency shelter in Hamilton should the need arise. Part of these plans include recruiting a group of volunteers from the community to help in opening and running an emergency shelter.
A small group of volunteers have met several times over the past months to learn about how we will operate Hamilton’s emergency shelter. We are in need of more volunteers to be part of this team in order to be successful with this important effort.
If you or someone you know are able to help, please join us at our next meeting Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 5 p.m. at the Hamilton Meeting House (the old Library building) at 299 Bay Road.
