The Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District School Fine Arts Department is proud to announce that our students have received seven gold keys, one silver key and nine honorable mentions in the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards 2013. The Scholastic Art Awards are a national award program sponsored by The Alliance For Young Artists and Writers and Scholastic Educational Magazines, Inc. Locally the Boston Globe, the New England Art Educators Conference and the Massachusetts Art Education Association sponsor the Awards.
At Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School Caroline Fallon, Justin Finkenaur, Pat Fontaine, Chloe Leigh, Callie Mastrianni and Madison Poore received Gold Keys, the highest honor. Chloe Leigh was awarded a Gold Key for her portfolio. Tony Pham received a Silver Key. Victoria Arakelian, Fiona Collins, Audrey DeLorenzo, Tony Pham, Coly Poulin, Anna Rourke, Lily Shiland and Anna Viccicia all received honorable mentions. Congratulations to all award winners!
The Gold Key and Silver Key Art Exhibit at the State Transportation Building (10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA, 02116) will be hanging from Monday, February 11 to Friday, April 19, 2013. The hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m. There are not Saturday hours or Holiday hours. Groups planning to visit the exhibit need to call the office to arrange an assigned time - 617-973-7290.
